Lucky Two Times Animal Rescue is named after a  Thoroughbred horse who was going to be euthanized at the age of two years old because of a fracture that would heal within time, she was fortunate to find a home where she could rehabilitate, be offered the care and supervision required for an animal of this stature . We provided her with much needed physical therapy , intramuscular massage therapy, introduced her to a well maintained diet and have taught her social skills she never had. Because she was bred to be a race horse but had an accident on the race track she was marked for euthanasia at a very young age, the owner no longer had use for her and did not want to feed an extra mouth that wasn't pulling her weight. We worked together with the veterinarian and horse owner in Ruidoso NM to gain the rights to the well being of the horse, she was the beginning of an animal rescue mission and was renamed “Lucky Two Times”.

We are asking for donations to pay for various projects , the property where Lucky Two Times Animal Rescue is currently located needs an abundance amount of construction, maintenance and repairs to the property and its facilities. Currently we house 5 dogs, 15 cats, 1 Horse, 3 Roosters and various barn cats. Repairs and construction include, Electrical work , includes but not limited to, indoors/outdoor lighting fixtures, wiring, plugs, switches, faceplates, hardware, breaker box, outdoor switch box from light post to current building. Construction projects include but not limited to a designated area for large and small breed animals to be quarantined, evaluated, cleaned, vaccinated connected to an area that a licensed veterinarian can diagnose and figure out if anything is wrong with the rescue along with construction projects for a larger aviary for the chickens, roosters, ducks, etc...Not to mention the fact that the stables also need an abundance amount of work; another construction project, constructed animal feeders are also part of the construction projects. The water well head is broken and the water line that runs from the well is broken and will need to be replaced in order to provide the necessary water for the stables, aviary, dog and cat areas. Construction on the small animal holding area, which is located in a separate building on the premises, all electrical, roofing, door ways and windows need work to prevent water leaks or electrical accidents in the future, wall length kennels will need to be purchased, supplies will need to be ordered, veterinarian exam table and weight scale for both large and small breeds of animals, the building will have the veterinarians computer and desk area along with a table for the team members, as added safety for the rescued animals we will need to purchase safety equipment, stations and first aid Station with eye wash station (we will be working with chemicals, medicines and powders) .repair to the fencing around the four acres of land and install two gate systems and one 50 ft. long fence, posts and hardware. With the gracious donations we gather we hope to meet the initial $35,000.00 out of the $87,000.00 mark we have in place to begin the repairs, construction and hire several personnel which will allow us to add some jobs to the local economy, I should mention that with the eggs that the chickens produce we will turn around and sell for profit towards the Lucky Two Times Animal Rescue. Eventually we will build a sort of petting area where the community can get involved and participate with the volunteers in hopes of educating and sponsoring a place for children, individuals and families, a special place for veterans to volunteer, find peace and tranquility, to come and distract themselves from the stress of the world, to promote a healthy animal educational experience and remind everyone that any animal can be “Lucky Two Times”!
